Sencico to train Pisco’s people for earthquake reconstruction program.



 

Lima, aug. 26 (ANDINA)- The National Service for Normalisation, Training and Research for the Construction Industry (SENCICO) will train Pisco’s people in sanitary installation, electricity, formwork, metallic carpentry and bricklaying within the framework of the post-earthquake reconstruction process. This initiative will help people to get a job as part of the rebuilding efforts of the earthquake-hit areas, advanced Housing Minister Hernán Garrido Lecca.

Thanks to this tuition-free job-training program to be carried out in Pisco, 120 people will receive specialized classroom instruction and practical shop experience in basic safety, construction math, the use of hand tools, and basic employability skills for the next 30 days.
 
“Within 30 days, Pisco’s people will receive skills certification which aim is to help them get a job in the reconstruction phase”, stated Minister Garrido Lecca after meeting with Peru’s President Alan García.

Regarding the drinking water supply, Minister Garrido Lecca emphasized that Water is being supplied to all people through tankers and that the Government has taken measures aimed to restore the water supply system in a third of Pisco by next week.
