Lima, aug. 31 (ANDINA).- The Executive Branch and the Regional Government of Ica will work side by side in the earthquake reconstruction program in Pisco and other quake affected zones, emphasized Peru’s Prime Minister Jorge del Castillo after meeting with Regional President for Ica Rómulo Triveño and Julio Favre, head of FORSUR, (Reconstruction Fund for southern Peru).
Del Castillo stated that there is a good will by part of Peru’s central government and the Regional Government of Ica to begin a joint work regarding the reconstructiton efforts in quake ravaged areas.
In that way, having established the corresponding roles and the high level of cooperation to be reached, we have turned the page of any misunderstanding and we aim to join efforts to support quake affected people from this region.
Del Castillo advanced that the reconstruction and rehabilitation works will continue as well as relief donations providing food, water and shelter in Peru’s southern cities.
FORSUR, the Reconstruction Fund for southern Peru, is headed by businessman Julio Favre and will be in charge of the recovery of areas affected by the August 15 earthquake.
